This project contributed to the reduction of unemployment among
out-of-school youth in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region
of Ghana.
Youth unemployment is one of the many factors that predispose young people particularly young girls and women to all forms of abuse especially sexual abuse which resulted in teenage/unplanned pregnancies, HIV infections, and STIs among others.
Organized skill training on livelihood improvement programs for out-of-school youth in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
The beneficiaries were trained in pie and cake making, bread baking, and soap making, including start-up packages to start their businesses. Organized education sessions for the beneficiaries on sexual and reproductive health and rights through peer education.
